Mid-Market Operations
Hiring a full-time NetSuite administrator is expensive, hard to backfill, and often more capacity than you need. Our NetSuite managed services retainer gives you senior NetSuite expertise on a predictable monthly basis without adding headcount.
Retainer clients get a dedicated point of contact who already knows their account. No ramp-up time, no explaining your business from scratch every time you have a question. We handle day-to-day requests, user and role administration, saved searches and reports, workflow maintenance, release testing, and serve as the first call when something breaks.
Many companies move to a retainer after a project ends, because they want a team that already knows their system when things need to change. Retainer rates are preferred over our standard project rates.
NetSuite managed services is an outsourced administration model: an external team takes ongoing responsibility for keeping your NetSuite account healthy, secure, and useful as the business changes. It sits between ad-hoc hourly consulting, where you call someone when something breaks, and a full-time in-house administrator.
For many mid-market companies a retainer covers the work more reliably than a single hire, because you get breadth across finance, operations, scripting, and integrations instead of one person's strengths, and continuity when people leave.
We are finalizing standard retainer tiers. The options below are proposed scope structures that describe what each is designed to cover. Pricing and response commitments are agreed in writing during scoping rather than published here.
| Proposed option | Designed for | Typical scope |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | Stable accounts with a capable internal power user | User and role changes, saved searches, troubleshooting, and release preview checks |
| Operations | Growing teams that change processes every quarter | Everything in Essentials, plus workflow changes, report builds, integration monitoring, and monthly recommendations |
| Embedded | Companies replacing or covering for a full-time NetSuite administrator | Everything in Operations, plus regular working sessions with finance and operations, script maintenance, and roadmap planning |
We do not publish a standard response-time guarantee on this page. Response expectations depend on the scope option, your business hours, and how critical NetSuite is to daily operations. Whatever we agree goes into the written retainer before work begins, including how urgent issues are flagged and who picks them up.
If any provider will not put response expectations in writing, treat that as a warning sign.
A retainer works best with one internal point person who can prioritize requests and make decisions, access to a sandbox account if you have one, and a short list of the processes that matter most to the business. We bring the NetSuite depth; your team brings the context on how the business actually runs. Together that keeps requests moving without long back-and-forth.
A full-time administrator makes sense when you have enough daily change to fill the role and want someone inside the team every day. A retainer makes sense when you need senior coverage across several disciplines, want continuity when people leave, or cannot justify a full salary for part-time demand.
Some companies use both: an internal administrator for daily requests and a retainer for scripting, integrations, and escalation.
If your account has deeper problems than a retainer should absorb, start with NetSuite implementation rescue. For larger configuration changes, see NetSuite optimization consulting, and for custom code, SuiteScript development. Everything we do on the platform is on the NetSuite consulting hub.
These are representative scopes showing the kind of work this service covers. They are not client results or case studies.
Acting as the outsourced NetSuite administrator for a company with no internal NetSuite headcount
Ongoing workflow updates, saved searches, and role changes as a distribution business adds locations and users
Release preview checks of critical scripts, workflows, and integrations ahead of each NetSuite upgrade
User and role administration, saved searches and reports, workflow changes, troubleshooting, release preview testing, integration monitoring, and small script fixes. Larger builds are scoped as separate projects so the retainer stays focused on keeping the account healthy.
Pricing depends on the scope option, the size and complexity of your account, and how many integrations and scripts we support. We quote in writing after a discovery call and an account review. Retainer rates are preferred over our standard project rates.
Response expectations are agreed per retainer and written into the agreement before work begins. We do not publish a one-size-fits-all guarantee, because a small single-entity account and a multi-subsidiary account with live order integrations need different commitments.
Yes. Onboarding starts with an account review so we understand the configuration, scripts, and integrations before we change anything. If the review finds structural problems, we will recommend a rescue project rather than patching them month after month.
Yes. Retainer clients have a dedicated point of contact who knows the account, supported by senior specialists for scripting and integrations when a request needs them.
Book a discovery call. We talk through your account, your team, and the requests that keep piling up, then review the account and propose a scope option in writing. Onboarding starts once the scope, pricing, and response expectations are agreed and signed.
Yes. Oracle releases NetSuite updates on a regular schedule, and retainer clients can have critical workflows, scripts, and integrations checked in a release preview account before the upgrade reaches production.
New module implementations, large integration builds, major SuiteScript development, and implementation recovery are scoped as separate projects. That keeps the retainer focused on steady, predictable support and avoids one large build crowding out everyday requests.
No. Oracle NetSuite support handles platform issues covered by your subscription. A managed services retainer covers how your account is configured and used: roles, workflows, reports, scripts, and integrations specific to your business.
