NetSuite health check
A NetSuite health check is an independent review of your account's configuration, data, roles, scripts, workflows, and integrations, delivered as a written, prioritized findings report. We agree the scope and a fixed fee in writing before we start, so you know the cost of the review before deciding what, if anything, to fix.
Most NetSuite accounts drift. A go-live made compromises, people left, scripts were added in a hurry, and integrations were patched. A health check tells you which of those compromises are costing you now and which can wait. It is written by senior consultants with 8+ years of NetSuite expertise, and it does not assume we will be the ones doing the fixes.

30 minutes with a senior consultant. We will tell you honestly whether we can help, then follow up with a written scope.
Book an ERP Strategy CallThe health check is a fixed-scope review. After a short scoping call we confirm the areas in scope and send a fixed fee in writing. There are no hourly overruns on the review itself.

Independent review of configuration, data, controls, customizations, and integrations, with a prioritized findings report and a walkthrough.
| Area | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Financial configuration | Chart of accounts, subsidiaries, accounting periods, segments, revenue and expense recognition setup |
| Roles and controls | Administrator count, role permissions, segregation of duties, approval routing, login audit |
| Data quality | Duplicate customers, vendors, and items; inactive records; unapplied transactions; open items aging |
| Customizations | SuiteScripts, workflows, custom records and fields: what runs, what errors, what nobody owns |
| Integrations | Connectors and middleware, error queues, concurrency usage, ownership after go-live |
| Reporting | Saved searches and reports finance relies on at close, and where spreadsheets have taken over |
| Close process | Steps that happen outside NetSuite, manual reconciliations, and recurring journal practice |
| Release readiness | Scripts and integrations at risk in upcoming NetSuite releases |
You receive a written report, not a slide of generic best practices. Each finding states what we saw, why it matters to finance or operations, the risk of leaving it, the recommended fix, and a rough effort band. Findings are ranked so the first page tells you what to do this quarter.
We walk your team through the report in a working session. You can act on it with your own administrator, with another partner, or with us under our admin support retainer or a scoped project. The report is yours either way.
A typical health check runs through four stages. The dates for your review are set in the written quote.
Illustrative stages, not a delivery commitment.
These are the kinds of findings a health check commonly produces. They are representative examples, not results from a specific client.
| Finding | Why it matters | Typical fix |
|---|---|---|
| Several users hold the Administrator role | Any of them can change controls without review, which weakens audit evidence | Purpose-built roles and a named administrator |
| A scheduled script fails quietly every week | Downstream records are incomplete and nobody is notified | Error handling, alerting, and an owner |
| Close depends on spreadsheets exported from saved searches | Manual steps add days and risk at month-end | Rebuild the key reports in NetSuite with review |
| Integration errors pile up with no owner | Orders, payments, or inventory drift out of sync | Error queue ownership and a weekly review |
| Duplicate vendors with different remit-to details | Payment risk and messy spend reporting | Merge, lock down vendor creation, add approval |
Representative findings, not client results.
If your implementation is still in progress and failing, a NetSuite implementation rescue is usually the better starting point. If you plan to connect Claude, a health check of roles and permissions is a sensible precursor to NetSuite AI integration.
An independent review of your NetSuite account's configuration, roles, data, customizations, integrations, and reporting, delivered as a ranked findings report with recommended fixes.
It is a fixed fee agreed in writing after a short scoping call. The fee depends on the number of subsidiaries, integrations, and customizations in scope, so we quote it rather than publish one number.
No. We agree a read-only review role with you. We do not change anything in the account during the health check.
No. The report is written so your own administrator or another partner can act on it. If you want our help, we can quote a project or a retainer.
A rescue is for implementations that are failing or stalled and need active recovery. A health check is a diagnostic for live accounts, to find what is costing you before you decide what to fix.
Many companies benefit from one after go-live stabilizes, after a key administrator leaves, and before major changes such as a new subsidiary, integration, or AI connection.
Tell us what is not working. We will scope it and put the quote in writing.
